If you go to Tel Aviv you have to go to Jerusalem.
I was advised due to how historical Jerusalem is to go with a tour and guide; easiest to navigate the city and learn a lot of information. I booked a half day tour with Tourist Israel and was very happy with it!
The tour started at 9 am and ended around 1 pm. During this tour we visited Mount of Olives, Zion Gate, Mount Zion, Old City Cardo, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sephulchre, Western Wall, and the markets of the Christian and Muslim Quarters.
I truly enjoyed Jerusalem and was blown away with the the significance that this city has to the multiple religions. The city was beautiful and much larger than I imagined being home to almost 900,000 people. The city is light colored and seems like a city made from sand—really the stones are made with limestone giving the light colored stones. The hills circle the old and new city and each with different views and monuments and religious significance.
Touching the stone Jesus’s body was supposedly cleaned on after being taken off of the cross at the Holy Sephulchre was moving and seeing all the people at the Western Wall prayer was breath taking.
